The HT-5 is the ultimate amp for the studio and practice room: it combines the outstanding sound and innovative features of the award-winning HTRöhrenpedale in a two-channel tube amp and switchable via footswitch. The patent-pending circuit ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) provides an extremely flexible tone control, which covers the entire spectrum of American and British sounds. To the HT-5 to make it the ideal tool for use at home and in the studio, the goal was to build a tube amp that sounds even at the minimum volume still strong and powerful. Against this background, the Black Star Project Team has developed a completely new tube output stage topology. The HT-5 power amplifier operates with a reduced power in the push-pull design that creates the pressure and the enforcement power of a conventional 100-watt output stage - but at much lower volume. The key lies in the push-pull configuration of a dual-triode 12BH7 which generates an output power of 5 watts and is characterized by strong tube harmonics and compression.
